Jiuzhaigou to Mianyang Expressway is a part of G8513 Pingliang-Mianyang National Expressway, which is the second major expressway passage from Sichuan to Gansu and from Chengdu Plain Economic Zone to Northwest Sichuan Ecological Demonstration Zone. The implementation of the project is of great significance for accelerating the construction of a new land-sea corridor in the west, creating a demonstration zone for the integrated development of transportation and tourism in Jiuzhai, and serving to support the revitalization and development of the regions along the route. After the project is completed and opened to traffic, it will form the second highway from Sichuan to Gansu, and realize the full highway from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou County, and the driving time will be greatly reduced to 4 hours.
